Tryout Information

  1. Students will be taught & expected to know a chant, cheer, dance, and 4 jumps (toe touch, double toe touch, pike & hurdler)
  2. Students will be judged throughout the entire clinic. We will be watching to see how they interact with others, their attitude, spirit, how easily they pick up new material, how much they progress, and how they handle pressure.
  3. Coaches will judge and select the team based on their performance scores throughout the week and the scores from their formal tryout.
  4. The girls who make the squad will be announced April 12th on the team website & facebook.
  5. Clinics are open to the public. Anyone is welcome to come watch. Anyone who is a distraction will be asked to leave as a courtesy to the girls and coaches.
  6. Tryouts are closed. Only coaches, candidates, and workers will be permitted inside.
  7. Once a student has tried out on Friday they are free to leave.
  8. If your child brings in a blank CD on any clinic day, they will receive a copy of the music to practice the dance at home. You may also email for music. Music should be available for emailing after spring break.
  9. Clinic and Tryout attire should consist of t-shirts or tank tops, and cheer or athletic shorts and shoes. The hair should be pulled back off the face. If make up is worn it should remain natural, competition make up is not appropriate. The candidate should be neat and put together.
  10. Cheerleading is very financially and physically demanding. Our season is from March - February. If you and your child are not willing or able to commit for the entire year, then you should not let your child tryout!
